About Our Guest

Christina Wagener, DNP, MBA, APRN, NPC, CWCN  is the System Director of Clinical Service Lines at Sinai Chicago. Previously she served as the Director of Clinical Operations and Director of Advanced Practice Providers at Swedish Hospital part of NorthShore University Healthsystem. Christina is double Board Certified in Family Practice and Wound Care with Full Practice Authority as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois and has practiced previously at Heartland Health Outreach, Swedish Hospital, Oak Street Health and the University of Chicago Medicine. Her bedside nursing experience was at University of Chicago in the Burn and Complex Wound ICU. Prior to becoming a clinician, Christina held leadership roles at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and Motorola working in project management, lean operations, marketing and communications.  Christina has a BS in Business from Northern Illinois University, MSN from DePaul University, APRN Masters Certificate from DePaul University and Doctorate in Nursing (Leadership) and MBA from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, her thesis focused on testing for and diagnosis algorithm for Actinomyces bacteria in subcutaneous wounds. Christina was awarded the 40 under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader Award in 2015 by the American Nurses Association. Christina also serves on the Executive Board of the Windy City Rollers in Chicago, IL.
