There are many ways in which individuals and businesses can assist Future Institute in building a better society!
Learn more about how you can support the next generation below.

Mentorship pairs 3rd-year participants with an experienced professional. Most FLI participants are first-generation college students, so mentors play a pivotal role in a scholar's life by providing advice and resources and helping them set/achieve goals - which is support they might not have access to at home.

Completing meetings with their assigned mentors also counts towards the student's FLI program participation.

Mentoring a FLI participant is very flexible and manageable!
  • Mentors and mentees are paired based on similar college/high schools, career interests, backgrounds, etc.
  • Meetings can be conducted via phone call, video call, or in person, if possible.
  • Mentor and mentee pairings must only meet three times during the school year for a minimum of 30 minutes. The meeting schedule is:
    • Meeting #1: time of pairing - December 31, 2023
    • Meeting #2: January 1, 2024 - February 29, 2024
    • Meeting #3: March 1, 2024 - May 24, 2024

Please be patient. You will be emailed when we find you a mentee.

"...the reason why I became a mentor was because I really wanted to make sure that if there were people out there like me, they had someone who would be there for them."

Internships establish meaningful connections between successful companies and FLI 4th-year college students to help set and achieve their career goals through real-world, structured training experiences. Future Institute wants its participants to feel confident and prepared as they prepare to graduate college.

Completing meetings with their assigned mentors also counts towards the student's FLI program participation.

The internship must occur between the pairing time and May 30, 2024. After completing the form below, the company will receive resumes from all FLI participants interested in the opportunity, and it will be up to the company to decide which intern(s) to move forward with. There are no set stipulations for internship opportunities at the moment. It is up to the company and the student to set a schedule that works for both parties.
