As part of the FLI HS Program, Future Institute hosted an online Professional Skills workshop on November 7 at 6:00 PM Central (7:00 PM Eastern). Fifty-one FLI HS participants from high schools in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio attended the workshop.

- How to develop/utilize your leadership skills
How to craft an impactful resume & cover letter
How to prepare for an interview (in-person & virtual)
The importance of networking: What to do and how to do it

Charles Franklin has been working as an attorney in an Illinois private practice since 1980. He has operated the Frankin, Greenswag, Channon & Capilla, LLC, a general business law and litigation firm in Northfield, Illinois. Mr. Franklin attended the University of Miami for law school. He also attended the United States Air Force Academy and graduated from the University of Michigan. Mr. Franklin was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but grew up overseas—living with his family in Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
