During the panel, alumni shared valuable insights and tips based on their experiences. They emphasized the significance of maintaining good grades and taking challenging courses to stand out in the competitive college admissions process. One of the key takeaways was how to manage the workload of AP classes and balance other commitments. They also highlighted the benefits of taking AP exams, which can earn you college credits and save you money in the long run. Another critical topic they covered was how to transfer credits from dual credit classes to college. They even offered tips on researching colleges and universities, narrowing down your choices, and navigating the college application process!
Mrs. Whitestone, the Post SecondaryStudent Success Coordinator, expressed her enthusiasm for inviting alumni back to GSA to speak about their college experiences. She believes that the wisdom shared by the alumni is invaluable and can significantly benefit high school students as they begin their college journeys.
Just like in past years, this year's Alumni Panel was a remarkable event that provided information and served as a way for alumni to maintain a connection with their alma mater. The school values this connection and encourages it to continue with future graduates.
