Be a Mentor

What better way to support the next generation than by mentoring a college student or two?

A majority of FLI participants are first-generation college students. Success Mentors play a pivotal role in a scholar's life by providing advice and resources on college and careers that they might not have access to at home.

Mentoring a FLI participant is very flexible and manageable!
  • Meetings can be conducted entirely online.
  • Mentor and mentee pairings are only required to meet 3 times during the school year.
  • Success Mentors and mentees are paired based on college and career interests, similar backgrounds, personalities, etc.

"...the reason why I became a mentor was because, I really wanted to make sure that if there were people out there like me that they had someone who would be there for them."
